Creating a New Pharce™

 

Upon launching Pharce™ the Main Screen will be displayed




Tap the New button




Tap the From a photo in your library button to create a Pharce™ from a photo already stored in your iPhone picture library or tap the From photo in another Pharce button to use a photo already used in a previously created Pharce™. 


If you chose From a photo in your library please continue:




Tap the Photo Album you wish to view




Tap the Photo you wish to use in your Pharce™




Your photo will be displayed along with a Selection Frame




Position the top left corner of the Selection Frame to the top left corner of the portion of the photo you wish to use in your Pharce™




Drag the bottom right corner of the Selection Frame to frame your picture

oThe selection frame can be positioned at any time by dragging any port of the frame other than the bottom right corner

Once you have framed your photo tap the Done button




Position the Pencil to the left corner of the mouth

Tap the Trace mouth button when you are ready




Dragging the base of the Pencil trace the crease of the mouth

If you mess up and want to try again tap the Redo button

Once you have traced the crease of the mouth tap the Mouth finished button




Tap the Test mouth button to see your mouth in action




If you wish to crop the chin area position the Pencil to the area you want to begin cropping and tap the Trace chin button




Tap the Chin finished button when you are done

If you mess up and wish to try again tap the Redo button

Tap the Done button once you are done




The record screen will be displayed next

Tap the title bar and enter a title for your Pharce™






Tap the Record button (Big Red button) when you are ready to record your Pharce™ voice track (If you are using an iPod Touch you will need an iPhone headset)

oRemember to always record your Pharce™ in a quiet space

oIf you are planning on using sound effects from the animation catalogue remember to leave a pause for the effect if you do not want it to play over any of the dialog




While recording the audio track the Record button will transform to the Stop button (Big White X)

Tap the Stop button when you are done recording

Tap the Done button when you are finished and want to proceed to the edit screen




Tap the Play button to preview your Pharce™ at anytime

Tap the Add Animation button to add animations and sound effects to your Pharce™

oYou can add animations and sound effects so they are constant throughout your entire Pharce™ by making sure the slider is positioned all the way to the beginning – At any time you can reposition the slider by simply dragging it

oYou can add animations and sound effects so they only appear at a certain time - to do so play your Pharce™ and tap the Pause button.  This will stop the slider and allow you to add an animation or sound effect to begin at that point in the Pharce™




Scroll through and tap the Animation or Sound effect you wish to add



Your selected animation will be displayed

Position the animation by simply dragging it with one finger and orient the animation by using two fingers to tilt and resize the animation

oEach animation has one small bead on either side to help position by holding one bead and orient and resize by placing a finger on each bead

oSound Effects have no need to be positioned or oriented so you can simply drag them to a top corner so they are out of the way during the editing process

oAt any time you can get rid of an animation by simply dragging it to the Trash Can




Once you have completed your Pharce™ tap the Done button




From the Play screen you can:

oPlay your Pharce™ by tapping the Play button

oSend your Pharce™ to your email address and automatically post your Pharce™ to YouTube by tapping the Send button.  You will be required to enter your email address and YouTube login and password once.  You can choose to post to YouTube independently for each Pharce™

oDelete your Pharce™ by tapping the Del button

oExit to the Main Screen by tapping the Pharce button at the top left of the screen
